TSS NEWS RELEASES
2005

TAMPA, Florida, April 13, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Syniverse Technologies (NYSE:SVR), a leading provider of mission-critical technology services to wireless telecommunications companies worldwide, today announced the launch of a new service as part of its ACCESS® and ACCESS S&E® data clearinghouse services. The new service provides a convenient process for converting call detail records (CDRs), which are generated from mobile switches, to CIBER and TAP, industry standard record formats used for clearing and settling wholesale roaming agreements between roaming partners. Syniverse has entered into an agreement with Total Software Solutions to provide these services.

Mobile operators send switch-generated CDRs to Syniverse for conversion to CIBER, TAP or other specified proprietary record formats. Syniverse then applies the mobile operator's wholesale pricing plans to the records and generates the CIBER or TAP records that meet industry-defined standards. The records are then processed through Syniverse's ACCESS® or ACCESS S&E data clearing service, and forwarded to designated roaming partners on behalf of the mobile operator. Syniverse has the capability to create and rate home subscriber billing records in addition to creating the roamer billing records sent to roaming partners.

"In many cases, CDR conversion services are provided by a third party billing vendor, which means an additional company is involved in handling and processing highly confidential, critical roamer billing data," said Michael O'Brien, vice president - marketing, Syniverse. "Syniverse's processing of CDRs as part of our centralized clearing and settlement services ensures maximum control and management of roaming revenue. Even more valuable is the virtual elimination of lost revenue due to record rejection for CIBER or TAP formatting errors or duplication errors."

"The Total Software Solutions TOMS© Total Mediation System used by Syniverse provides flexible wholesale rating parameters that cater to the mobile operator's specific requirements," said Mike Browne, CEO Total Software Solutions. "We are pleased to offer our flexible conversion capabilities, which fulfill multiple roaming and home subscriber billing needs, to Syniverse's broad base of clearinghouse customers."
